This meteorite fell on American Independence Day, 1917. From the Catalogue of Meteorites: "After the appearance of a luminous meteor with a trail of black smoke, moving from NW to SE, and detonations, two stones, of about 150lb and 80lb respectively, fell about 0.5 mile apart and were broken into pieces".
